First They Came
They came first for the Communists, And I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Communist. Then they came for the Jews, And I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists, And I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics, And I didn’t speak up because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me, And by that time no one was left to speak up. ~ Pastor Martin Niemoller |

Hiroshima
Pros Versus Cons of dropping the A-Bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki
Using a piece of loose leaf, a word document, or another word processing app on your iPad, divide the page into two halves, labelled PROS and CONS. On the PROS side, you will record reasons why dropping the atomic bomb was necessary. On the CONS side, you will record reasons why this should have never happened.
Once you have completed this, you must write a paragraph discussing what YOU think, yay or nay? Be sure to EXPLAIN YOUR OPINION. ("Because it was wrong and so many people died" is NOT good enough.)
